EXPERT CATEGORY GUIDE
The source file stays unchanged while settings are edited. Export creates a new pixel result, preserving the original.
Cropping reduces a coordinate area; a fixed ratio constrains width and height. Smaller crop areas produce fewer output pixels.
A photo may rely on EXIF orientation. The editor must normalize it before further rotation to avoid double rotation.
Rotation and scaling recalculate pixels. Repeated edits and lossy saves can accumulate blur and compression artifacts.
Brightness changes overall lightness, contrast changes tonal separation, saturation changes color strength, temperature shifts blue-yellow balance, and sharpness boosts edge contrast.
PNG and WebP transparency uses an alpha channel. High-resolution images consume much more memory after decoding, so mobile limits are necessary.
